PEACH TEA


UNSWEETENED:

  • 2 quarts filtered water (divided)

  • 4-5 ripe peaches, sliced

  • 4-8 tea bags, black or green tea


  1. Bring peaches and 1 quart of water to a boil in a medium pot. Simmer five minutes.

  2. Mush peaches and add tea bags. Allow to steep five to ten minutes.

  3. Strain into jar or pitcher and add remaining quart of water.

  4. Refrigerate to enjoy later or pour over a cup of ice.


PEACH SIMPLE SYRUP:

  • 1 cup organic cane sugar

  • 1 cup filtered water

  • 2-3 sliced, fresh peaches

  1. Bring all ingredients to a boil, stirring consistently.

  2. Reduce heat to medium-low, crushing sliced peaches as you stir.

  3. Turn off heat, cover and let stand 30 minutes.

  4. Strain syrup through a fine strainer to remove fruit pieces.

  5. Add to Peach Tea to taste.
